Rerouting for buses to Heidelberg Castle costs 30 minutes

The city of Heidelberg has informed that there are massive static problems at the entrance route to the castle.
Due to the structural problems, the Neue Schlossstrasse will probably have to be closed from 04.02.2020 for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 3.5 tons. This means that from 04.02.2020 you will no longer be able to reach Heidelberg Castle via the access you are familiar with, but will have to go to the castle via a detour route.

This detour route will lead via Leimen, Lingental, Gaiberg and will then be diverted at the Molkenkur towards the bus parking lot at Heidelberg Castle. The detour is estimated by us to be about 15 km or 25 minutes driving time.

Bus groups should take this into account in your schedule.

The block is valid for the whole season 2020, maybe even 2021.
